Inaugural Event

In Fall of 2022, BEC hosted and organized a special event for professors, researchers, staff members and collaborators on campus and the larger Tucson Community.  During this event, attendees learn about the main goal and objectives for the Borderlands Education Center -BEC- which is to create and promote learning and research opportunities for teachers, researchers, and communities in Southern Arizona, Mexico and other regions of the world. BEC supports initiatives that address educational issues on border areas, the development of networks of teachers and researchers and sponsors addressing educational projects, serving diverse populations, and exchanging knowledge.
